煎茶道は、抹茶を点てる茶道とは異なり、煎茶や玉露などの茶葉を
急須で淹れて味わう日本の伝統文化です。
その歴史は江戸時代に中国から伝わった煎茶の喫茶法が、日本の文人の間で
広まり、独自の発展を遂げたことに始まります。煎茶道では、お茶の味や香り
だけでなく、茶器や空間の美しさ、おもてなしの心を総合的に楽しむことを重視します。
作法や所作には流派ごとの違いがありますが、いずれも自然や季節の変化を感じながら、
穏やかな時間を過ごすことを目的としています。
近年では、そのリラックス効果や健康効果が見直され、若い世代を中心に新たなファンが増えています。
Senchado: The Art of Brewing and Appreciating Japanese Green Tea
Senchado, unlike the more commonly known Matcha (powdered green tea) tea ceremony, is a Japanese cultural practice that emphasises both brewing Sencha or Gyokuro in a Kyusu (teapot), as well as savouring their flavours. Its history began in the Edo period when the method of drinking Sencha (first introduced in China) spread amongst Japanese intellectuals and developed into something more unique. Senchado also emphasises the beauty of the utensils and space utilised in the ceremony, along with embracing the Japanese spirit of hospitality (aka Omotenashi). Manners and etiquette vary depending on the teachings of each school of Sencha, but each ceremony maintains the aim of providing an atmosphere of peace, whilst allowing participants to feel the changes of nature throughout the seasons with the type of teas served. In recent years, the relaxation and health benefits of Sencha has seen growing popularity amongst the younger generations, bringing a whole new group of fans to the wonderful world of Japanese green tea.

当流では初心者、熟達者を問わず、お茶を淹れる形「お手前」を学びます。
その目的は、本来十人十色であるはずの「美意識」を共有することにあり、お手前を繰り返しお稽古することで更なる深化，或いは時代に応じた発展を目指します。
時間をかけて培った美意識と、それを伴った振る舞いは、日常見慣れた景色に変化をもたらせ、あらゆる事柄を昇華させる力があると信じています。
当流では、平成の幕開けとともに従来の正座での作法を取り止め、立礼式をもって基本としてまいりました。お稽古の内容は、五碗を並べた玉露と煎茶の形稽古が中心ですが、大振りの茶碗を使った一碗手前「平成手前」を独自に考案、普及に努めております。
In our school, both beginners and experienced masters practice the art of brewing leaf tea in a ceremony called ‘Temae’. One of the purposes of the ceremony is to convey an ‘aesthetic sense’ through the gestures of the Ceremony, this sense being unique to each individual and deepened by repeatedly practicing the Temae. We believe the aesthetic sense that has been cultivated over time, along with the gestures that accompany it, have the power to bring about changes in the scenery we are accustomed to see every day and to sublimate all matters. In our school, with the dawn of the Heisei era, we replaced the conventional sitting on tatami etiquette and adopted the table and chairs style as the basis. The content of the Ceremony is mainly the formal practice of serving gyokuro and sencha in five small teacups, but our school has independently devised a one-bowl Temae using a large tea bowl, called ‘Heisei Temae’, and we are working to spread it.

着物は着られますか？
日月下および露萬坐では、着付けサービスの提供は行っておりませんが、以下の対応が可能です。
・日月下：着付け師の方をご自身で手配いただき、施設内でのお着付けは可能です。
・露萬坐：着物でのご来店・ご体験は可能ですが、施設内での着付けや着付け師の同行には対応しておりません。
専用の駐車場はありますか？
日月下・露萬坐ともに専用の駐車場はございません。お近くのコインパーキングをご利用ください。
お茶会やお稽古以外での使用は可能ですか？
・日月下では、お茶会やお稽古以外でのご利用も可能です。ご希望の際は、お問い合わせフォームよりご相談ください。
・露萬坐は煎茶体験を主とした施設ですが、ご要望内容をお伺いしたうえで、対応の可否をご案内いたします。まずはお気軽にお問い合わせください。
